Founded in 2015, Zoe's Journey UK are a group of committed fundraisers who are determined to make a difference for dogs with cancer
Zoe's Journey UK was born when Jayne May, owner of a 12 year old Golden Retriever named Zoe, received the devastating news that her beloved dog had Stage 3 B cell Lymphoma in 2012. Despite the shock, Jayne tackled the diagnosis head on, and Zoe underwent chemotherapy, which thankfully was successful - Zoe lived another four years cancer free until she passed away at the grand age of almost 16.
Changing the future of canine cancer diagnoses
Inspired by Zoe's resilience, but humbled by the fact that so many other dogs are not as lucky as Zoe, Jayne founded Zoe's Journey UK, in a bid to fund research into canine cancers and shape the future of cancer treatment in dogs for future generations.
In the last seven years, ZJUK has been hugely successful, raising over £290,000 for canine cancer research projects in the UK. We are delighted that in 2023, the team at Zoe's Journey UK has decided to join forces with the Kennel Club Charitable Trust in order to raise even more vital funds.
How you can help
The shocking statistics are that 1 in 4 dogs will get cancer in their lifetime, and 50% of dogs over the age of 10 will also be diagnosed. Research into this devastating disease will help to turn the tide against canine cancer and result in happier, healthier lives for our four-legged best friends. You can make a gift to the Zoe's Journey fund, supporting canine cancer research here. All gifts will be held in a restricted fund for cancer research projects, but to ensure this, please pop a quick email to fundraising@kennelclubcharitabletrust.org to alert us. Any other queries can also be sent to this email.
